Ex-Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh found dead.

On Sunday October 9th, 2011, Artist and Ex-Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh was found dead in a chicago hotel room at the age of 40. The suspect cause of death was from a drug overdose. Weeks ago on Twitter he had predicited his death by saying ”dreamt i died in chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). need to write my will today.” He followed up with another tweet, “correction – the weekend after next.” Mikey was a father of two.

Locally in Southern California and because i am going to the shows myself, FOO FIGHTERS will be playing this week with 2 shows at the Los Angeles “Foorum” (Forum) October 13th & 14th. Seems likely these shows are sold out but you can always investigate at www.ticketmaster.com. Opening for them will be Cage The Elephant. Should be a great show!
